In 2022 the RI Historical Records Advisory Board, with continued support from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC), will be awarding limited funding, with a maximum of $1,000 per person, to individuals working and volunteering in Rhode Island institutions seeking professional development in archives. As part of the program recipients will be required to share a short blog post (300-600 words) of their experience and subjects learned, as well as a brief lightning talk presentation (5-10 min) to provide new information from the year’s educational opportunities.
Preference will be given for courses that occur between July 01, 2022 – December 31, 2022. Scholarship funds may be used for course and conference registration fees and other related costs.
Recipients will be required to submit a short blog post for the RIHRAB website to be shared with the Rhode Island archival community, as well as give a brief virtual, Lightning Talk presentation (5-10 minutes) in 2022 summarizing their experiences, and how they intend to apply their learning.
