Service Day Program

The Rhode Island Historical Records Advisory Board (RIHRAB) is seeking Rhode Island non-profit and/or archival repositories and institutions interested in assistance and single-day consultations with volunteer assistance from members of the RIHRAB. 

Selected Host Sites will receive on-site assistance aimed to support staff in making repository collections more accessible to the public. Additional award materials may be provided, as available. This program is offered with support from NHPRC.

In 2023-2024, the RI Historical Records Advisory Board opened applications for Rhode Island non-profit and/or archival repositories and institutions interested in assistance to improve collections and practice for single-day volunteer projects from the Board.

Selected Host Sites were awarded archival supplies and received on-site assistance from members of RIHRAB, all offering their own expertise as part of the archival community.
